Engineered for consistent performance under varying load conditions, the HARDDRIVE Remote Reservoir Rear Shocks utilize an internal floating piston design paired with Speed Adaptive Valving (SAV). The core components are constructed from A7075 forged aluminum and precision CNC machined, ensuring durability and structural integrity. Suspension tuning is supported by Super High Strength JIS G3560 Cr-Si steel springs featuring a progressive rate and tapered ends, a design choice intended to prevent bowing and bottoming out during operation.
Adjustability is maximized through a co-axial Hi/Lo Speed Compression Damping system, offering 24 clicks of adjustment for both High-Speed Compression (HSC) and Low-Speed Compression (LSC), alongside a wide-range Low-Speed Rebound adjustment with 24 clicks. Riders can select between STD and HVY spring weights based on their combined rider and cargo load; the STD weight is optimized for loads up to 280 lbs, while the HVY weight is designed for combined weights of 240 lbs and above. Note that '04-13 Sportsters may require relocation of the rear master cylinder when installing 14-inch shocks.
