ADA & WCAG Compliance Statement
Ensuring an accessible, barrier-free digital shopping experience for every rider.
Our Commitment to Digital Accessibility
At WowShopper Motorsports (an Aiya Group Company powered by Motorhelmets), we believe every rider, enthusiast, and mechanic deserves full and equal access to our online powersports catalog, vehicle fitment tools, and safety gear. We are committed to making our digital experience compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III regulations and conforming to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and AAA criteria.
Our Technical Compliance Architecture
Our website has been designed from the ground up to incorporate the following accessibility engineering principles:
Full Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements—including our My Garage Year/Make/Model vehicle filter, category navigation, search dialogs, and cart checkout—are fully operable via keyboard navigation without requiring a mouse. High-contrast visible focus rings (:focus-visible) ensure clear tracking at all times.
Screen Reader Optimization
Our pages utilize semantic HTML5 landmarks (<header>, <main>, <footer>, <nav>) and WAI-ARIA 1.2 attributes (aria-expanded, aria-selected, aria-live, role="tablist") to ensure seamless operation with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack screen readers.
Descriptive Image Alt Text
Every product photograph, technical schematic, and gallery angle includes brand-specific, descriptive alternative text (e.g. helmet finish, safety certification badges, tread pattern details) to convey visual information accurately to vision-impaired users.
High-Contrast & Color Independence
All text, interactive buttons, and input fields meet or exceed the WCAG 2.1 AAA contrast ratio requirement (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text and 7:1 for enhanced readability). Information is never conveyed through color alone.
Motion & Vestibular Safeguards
Our site respects user operating system preferences for reduced motion (prefers-reduced-motion: reduce), automatically disabling non-essential transitions and animations for visitors with vestibular disorders or motion sensitivities.
A dedicated "Skip to Main Content" mechanism is positioned at the very top of our document object model (DOM), allowing keyboard and screen reader users to bypass repetitive header navigation and jump straight into product listings.
Continuous Auditing & Evaluation
We maintain an ongoing digital accessibility testing protocol combining automated evaluation tools (Lighthouse, axe-core, WAVE) with manual keyboard walkthroughs and assistive screen reader verification. Whenever new products or features are released, they are reviewed to preserve our strict WCAG 2.1 compliance baseline.
