BOYESEN Power Reeds utilize a patented dual-stage architecture to optimize performance across the entire powerband. The design pairs a lightweight, resilient top reed for crisp throttle response at low-to-mid RPMs with a stiffer, ported bottom reed engineered for maximum flow and horsepower at higher RPMs. This distinct difference in stiffness allows the reeds to respond quickly and accurately to changes in engine pressure, working in unison to deliver quicker acceleration and increased power output.
The multi-port feature of the bottom reed creates additional channels for the charge, increasing velocity to the intake ports. To fully realize the efficiency of this dual-stage system, the design permits the replacement of the stock reed stop with a Rev-Plate, allowing the reeds to open freely. Note that these components are designed exclusively for closed-course competition use; operation on public lands or waterways in California is illegal. Order one set per motor.
