Defect Description

Piaggio Safety Recall PA2ZZQ2107: Connecting rod metallurgical fracture may cause catastrophic engine failure and oil leakage onto rear tire.

Safety Hazard / Consequence

Connecting rod breakage leads to engine seizure, loss of drive power, and potential fire hazard or crash.

Factory Remedy & Repair Action

Dealers will replace the complete crated engine long-block assembly (CM2966115) and installation kit (1L006293C) free of charge.

Manufacturer Notes: Piaggio Campaign Number PA2ZZQ2107. Pinion screw 50 N·m, exhaust manifold 20 N·m, oil drain 25 N·m.
