Applicable Platforms: YZF-R1, YZF-R6, MT-09, MT-07, Tracer 900, FZ-09, Tenere 700
Access internal ECU sensor readouts and perform solenoid/coil actuation tests directly on the digital dashboard with zero specialized diagnostic scanners.
1. Key Off & Switch Position
Turn the main ignition key to OFF. Ensure the right-hand handlebar Engine Stop switch is set to the RUN position.
2. Dual-Button Ignition Hold
Simultaneously press and hold both the SELECT and RESET buttons on the instrument cluster gauge. While holding both buttons, turn the main ignition key to ON. Continue holding both buttons for 8 seconds until the display reads 'DIAG'.
3. Enter Diagnostic Mode
Release both buttons. Press and hold SELECT and RESET together for 2 seconds to enter the channel list. The dashboard will display channel 'd:01'.
4. Key Diagnostic Channel Reference
Use the SELECT button to step forward through channels, and RESET to step backward:
• d:01: Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Angle (Closed: 15–20 | Fully Open: 95–100)
• d:03: Atmospheric Pressure Sensor (kPa)
• d:05: Intake Air Temperature (°C)
• d:06: Coolant Temperature (°C)
• d:09: Battery Voltage Input (V)
• d:30 to d:33: Ignition Coil 1-4 Actuator Test (Coil fires 5 audible sparks when engine stop switch toggled)
• d:36 to d:39: Fuel Injector 1-4 Actuator Pulse Test
• d:61: Historical Fault Code Memory (Lists stored DTCs)
• d:62: Fault Code Clear Mode (Toggle Engine Stop switch from OFF to RUN to erase all codes)
