At Willow Springs International Raceway, continuous high-load corners (such as the 100+ mph Turn 8 sweeper) generate massive carcass heat. Starting with street-spec cold pressures (e.g. 36 PSI rear) resulted in hot pressures ballooning past 44 PSI, severely crowning the tire profile and shrinking the contact patch at maximum lean.
